Share Your Opinion on the Opioid Settlement

Background

Steele County is receiving at least 1.4 million dollars over the next 18 years from the National Opioid Settlement. Steele County Public Health has been named the chief strategist and lead agency in the disbursement of funds and is seeking input from community members.

We value your opinion and want to ensure Steele County community members have a say in how we prioritize funding locally!

Your input will be an integral part of our strategy and decision-making process in how we use these funds. It is extremely important to us that this work is driven by the community, particularly by those who have lived experience with the opioid crisis or those who are disproportionately impacted by these issues.

As we move forward, this data from the community-wide survey will be used in conjunction with qualitative data we gather from discussions across Steele County to help develop a strategic framework. After we gather this data, we will bring together a multi-sector advisory council to assist with formalizing spending decisions and allocating funds going forward.

Please complete the online survey using the link below.

If you need to complete the survey in hard copy or in another language, the following formats are available as well:

Please return the paper surveys in person or by mail to the Steele County Public Health Office, 635 Florence Ave., Owatonna, MN, or scan and email them to Madelyn Hessian, Madelyn.Hessian@steelecountymn.gov.
