The City of Owatonna's website has been redesigned with a new appearance and upgraded functionality. The improved navigation offers more convenient options for frequently visited pages from the homepage and the fresh design aligns with the community-wide brand adopted last year. Thanks to the 18 Engage Owatonna registrants who completed the City’s Website Redesign Survey, City staff have valuable user input that will guide ongoing improvements for owatonna.gov to ensure it serves effectively as the City of Owatonna’s online ‘front door’. Below are some highlights of the survey responses.
When asked about satisfaction with ease of use, 61% selected ‘satisfied’ and 28% selected ‘extremely satisfied’
When asked about visual appeal, 44% selected ‘satisfied’ and 50% selected “extremely satisfied’
When asked about overall satisfaction, 61% selected ‘satisfied’ and 28% selected ‘extremely satisfied’
When asked about being able to find what they were looking for, 89% selected ‘yes’
When asked which features are most helpful, survey responses included:
“The circle links are very easy to navigate”
“Easy to navigate”
“Nice use of assistive technology”
When asked about challenges that were encountered, survey responses included:
“A lot of information…locating things difficult…drop-down menus with over a dozen options”
“Finding city ordinances”
“Videos are not accessible”
