Affordable housing
This town has a serious lack of affordable housing for those with low income .

Community recreation center
Owatonna needs a community recreation center. Kids need accessable indoor pools (zero entry), indoor track, racket ball courts, basketball, nice locker rooms, etc. West hills is so outdated and small. We love that the pool is warm, but it's scary that kids can't touch the bottom during group swimming lessons. The middle school pool is always so cold and busy with swim team after school and school classes during. We need a fun safe indoor place for parents to take young children during the day (not school age). And a safe, fun, engaging place for teens to hang out after school.
